Most people dream of making a living without doing much work. It turns out that dream has become a reality for many enterprising souls! You might think that the only people that get rich are usually those that inherit their fortunes. It might shock you to learn that plenty of folks started out with nothing.

Are you fed up of working for “the man” and not earning a decent wage for your troubles? Well, you could always quit your job but then where you would get the money to pay your bills each month? There is one thing you can do towards the goal of quitting your day job. No, I’m not suggesting you become a career criminal.

What I do recommend is that you set up a drop shipping business! In case you don’t know what that means, let me explain. Drop shipping is where you act as a middleman between buyers and suppliers of products.

Let’s say you have a buyer that wants a new HP laptop. When your buyer places an order, you then place one with your IT supplier. They then send the laptop direct to your customer without any invoices included in the box.

For a couple of minutes of your time, you’ve just made a profit by using your computer. Now, imagine doing that several times a day? As you can see, drop shipping gives you the potential to earn lots of money from a semi-passive income!

So, how do you become a drop shipping entrepreneur? There are a few things you need to do. The good news is they won’t cost you much money! Here is what you need to know:

Set up a website

First of all, you need to get a website built. That’s because you will use it as the platform where buyers can place orders with you. To save time, I recommend using a website design services provider. That way, you’ll end up with a kick-ass website!

You’ll also need to register a domain name for your business. Make sure it is relevant to your brand and memorable.

Register yourself as a sole trader

In the meantime, you’ll need to become self-employed. Yes, it’s possible to do so if you still have a job! Bear in mind you’ll need to pay tax on any profits you make. But, if you do a good job, the profits you make will be worth the effort.

Sign up with a drop shipping supplier

Next, you’ll need to find a supplier willing to ship direct to your customers. There are many such suppliers and wholesalers out there that offer such a service. You shouldn’t have much trouble finding one that can meet your needs.

Market your website

Once you’ve added the products to sell on your new website, it’s time to market it! You will need to spend some time and money on various marketing strategies. For instance, PPC advertising will get you targeted visitors to your site.

You could also advertise on forums, blogs and social media. Good luck!
