Ok, let’s take it like a man and accept that we all love to make money out of our passion for blogging but this is easier said than done. Since hundreds of blogs are getting registered both free and paid, it is becoming increasingly difficult for bloggers to increase income from their blogs. However, there is still a way around and of course it is not that tough. All you got to do is follow certain proven methods religiously and I hope you will be able to increase your earnings from your existing blog:

Select A Niche that You are passionate About

I have heard people telling me – “Please suggest which niche I should write about to drive the most traffic to my blog???. Never ever succumb to such temptation because it is not going to help you in one way or the other. As you are not passionate about the niche that you are supposed to write about, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to come up with anything that will make the readers go crazy about. You will just be spinning content of others and that too without zero personal attachment. So, slowly and silently, your writing style will start suffering. However, there are some people who are making a hell lot of money even when they are least interested about the topic they are writing. But personally, I do not see any reason why you should take the risk. Write on things that you love to write and success is bound to follow.

3 Tips for Budgeting Well

Do Not try to reinvent the Wheel

There are some bloggers who are too shy to follow the proven money making techniques propagated by some of the best known bloggers of our times. They rather create different marketing policy that may or may not work. Since you are new in the sphere of blogging and are in a hurry to make a living out of your blogging passion, you should follow the tips of the pro bloggers religiously. However, I am not discouraging you to explore new money making options. What I feel is that it makes sense to follow the basics at the initial stage rather than look for new earning opportunities.

Have a Custom Theme

I know it is hard to believe but the fact is that design is a big factor in users’ engagement. Yes, of course I am fully aware of the fact that a book should not be judged by its cover, but there is no denying that a significant section of readers still unknowingly take it a parameter to judge the quality of a work.  It does not look cool if you and your competitors are all using the same template. It will make it really tough for your readers to figure out the difference at the very instance. The good news is that developing a custom WordPress template is not going to burn a hole in your pocket. Try Elance, Guru and there you will find zillions of WordPress designers and developers who are offering this service a jaw-dropping rate.

Focus on Engagement

This is a long term marketing objective and I am fully aware of the fact that building engagement is not going to happen overnight. It is a result of consorted and continuous attempts to enhance the quality of the posts, adding value to the user experience and focusing more on better exposure on social media sites. Once you manage to attain them, your blog will start getting extra attention from Google, in the form of better online exposure and a steady increase in interaction with the audience.
