We can often find ourselves in a situation where we would really likesome extra cash. This could be for a variety of reasons, perhaps it is a long time since pay day, we have a unexpected bill or expense or we would like to treat ourselves to something. Whatever the reason there are a number of things that you can do in order to get some extra cash and these are the things that I do if I need extra cash.
Selling items is really easy these days. There are online auctions sites, facebook groups and many other opportunities to sell online. I use eBay as I have a good reputation on there and so attract plenty of buyers and it seems to work for the type of products that I sell. However, where you sell will depend on what you are selling so it is worth looking to see what other items are for sale or have sold on the different sites so that you can choose the best one for you. You also need to make sure that you describe it well with lots of pictures and set a realistic price.
Freelance Work Online
There are many different sites that I look on for freelance work. I am lucky enough to have picked up regular customers who request a fair bit of work so I tend to have enough to give me the money that I need. However I go to freelance sites and forums if I want some extra work and this will enable me to earn some extra money. There are some sites where you can find jobs which pay just a fiver and they are good if you just want quick jobs to earn small amounts of cash.
I would go offline if I wanted a full-time job and look at temping agencies. They can usually place you in a role quickly where you can do office, reception or other admin work which is what suits my skills. However, they will also have factory, catering and cleaning jobs so there could be work that suits all sorts of skills. You will need an up to date CV and may need to take some tests in order to check your suitability for certain roles.
Cut down Luxury Spending
Another thing that I do if I need extra cash is to take a look at my spending. I do buy a lot of luxury items, such as expensive food, eating out, gifts, new clothing and things like this. I therefore try to cut out spending on unnecessary items so that I free up money for other things. It may not always be easy to do this, particularly if you do not buy a lot of luxury items, but there may be some things that you can stop buying, even if it is only for a small amount of time.
Another way to get more money is to spend less money on things that you do choose to buy. By comparing prices on everything that you spend money on, you will be able to choose cheaper options. They may not be such good quality, so you will need to decide whether you are prepared to reduce the quality to get a better price. This may not always be the case though, sometimes branded items are dearer even though the quality is no better, so it can be worth experimenting a bit with different brands.
