ebay

Over the last few years the rise in popularity of eBay has been tremendous. So much so that it now has around 100,000,000 auctions live at any one point all over the world, and that figure is growing every year.

So with this in mind we thought we would list three ways that you can jump on the bandwagon and start earning money through eBay in ways you may not have thought of before.

1. Find it on Gumtree, sell it on eBay

Obviously the first thing you need to do when trying to make money on eBay is to figure out exactly what you are going to sell and where you are going to source that product from.

And a great way to find cheap products is on Gumtree, these items are usually available at a much lower price and are collection only. All you need to do is find some bargains, clean up the product a little and then add it to eBay.

Depending on what you sell you can usually turn a tidy profit just by offering to post the item, thus opening up your potential market to the whole country rather than the local area.

2. Offer a local delivery service

This option might not be available to everyone but offering a local delivery service can really boost your sales, especially for large or bulky items.

Many people are put off buying larger items as they can’t collect it themselves, so why not offer a local delivery service? Not only could you deliver your own products to customers but also advertise to pick up others purchases for them.

3. Look out for what’s hot

Another easy way to boost your earnings through eBay is to try and work out what is going to be popular and sell out quickly.

The obvious list of products here are those made by Apple such as the latest iPhone or iPad where there is usually a shortfall in supply.

By getting your pre-order in early and then immediately listing the item you can usually make a $50 to $100 profit as users will often pay a premium to have the latest product as soon as possible.

This method can also be used on concert tickets, limited edition clothing and anything else in limited supply.

Some Other Websites

Some other great places to sell any of you old products that you have lying around is Amazon or Music Magpie. By visiting www.musicmagpie.com, you can trade in any games, DVDs, CDs or Blue-Rays that you have lying around, and get cash for this, whilst also helping the environment too as a lot of the materials can be recycled.
